This was not a project that took very long. Two or three days. I had a metal ring a little over 2" across that I wrapped with metallic embroidery thread. I actually worked the center design on cloth, partially finished off the back using the same method I'd used on the Loyalist Committee brooch (cardboard and sewing the fabric in place as the glue is setting), then sewed the piece onto the ring using the embroidery floss before finishing off the back with felt.
I gave this (the big pic on the right) to my mom as part of her Christmas present. It was wrapped up as a set with the second Loyalist Committee brooch I worked.
